Gas Lines - Leak Detection & Repair
Plumbers are your go to guys when it comes to new gas line installs, gas line replacements, gas line repairs, and gas leak locating.
It is imperative that you have a licensed professional plumber perform any work on your gas system.
In our experience from the time your gas is shut off due to a potential leak to the time we get the leak located, repaired, inspected by the city official, and turned back on could be up to 48 hours.
We know this time frame can be an inconveinence, but for those of us working to get your gas back on, your safety is our number one concern.
The process and why it can be timely:
- Gas shut off due to leak
- Licensed plumbers are responsible for making sure your gas system is not only leak free, but that it meets the current state and local codes for your safety. Plumbers request a permit to perform work (if your area requires it), make any needed repairs and/or upgrades to your gas system, and then (if your area requires it) call the city for an inspection.
- At this point the city will schedule the inspection for the following day.
- Once the inspection is what we call "green tagged" (meaning it passed inspection) a notification is sent to the gas company.
