Sewer Lines
Acute Plumbing Care is experienced in replacing, repairing, and cleaning sewer/drain lines.
Repairing or replacing deteriorated / broken pipes:
- Common causes are shifting soil, settling, age, etc.
- This can cause blockages in the line and sometimes impact the flow of water from the entire house.
Bellied Pipes: This is when a section of the pipe has sunk.
- Common cause is the soil or ground settling.
- This can cause that section of the pipe to collect debris and waste and could lead to stoppages.
Leaking Joints: This happens when the seal between pipes has broken or decayed.
- Common cause is shifting of the ground, improperly installed parts, or age.
- This allows water to leak into the ground, and roots to penetrate the line.
Roots:
- Broken and deteriorated lines or leaking joints can allow roots to invade the line, and this can cause stoppages.
Signs that you have an issue with your sewer or drain lines:
- slow draining or not draining properly
- gurgling sounds
- sewer smell
- frequent toilet clogs or back ups
- wet spot in the yard or abnormally green grass near drain lines
Common Solutions:
- Use of sewer camera to inspect the drain lines to determine the cause of sewer problems.
- Excavation for repairs
- Acute Plumbing Care provided Root treatments / Chemicals (Temporary fix)
- Use of hydro-jet to descale / clean sewer drain lines
- Hydrostatic test
